For independent living communities

Know every resident is okay by 9am. Without knocking on a single door.

OKHERE checks on every resident each morning by phone call, text or Alexa. Your staff only hear about the ones who don’t answer, the moment it matters.

No app. No equipment. No contract. From $500 a month.

Your mornings, before and after

Today

  • Staff knock on doors or work through a call list before anything else gets done.
  • About 6 minutes a door adds up fast. Forty residents is four hours of rounds.
  • On a busy day someone gets missed, and nobody knows until much later.

With OKHERE

  • Every resident gets a short call, text or Alexa check-in at the time you choose.
  • Most answer in minutes and show up green on one live dashboard.
  • Anyone who doesn’t answer is retried, then your team gets a text with their name and unit.

Time estimate uses the same 6 minutes a door as our pricing calculator.

How it works

1

Residents check in

A friendly call, a text, or Alexa, in their own language. They just confirm they’re okay. No app to learn.

2

OKHERE follows up

No answer? It tries again every 10 minutes for up to an hour. Replies like “I need help” alert staff straight away.

3

Your team acts

Staff get an email and text for the few who need a visit, and see everyone on one live dashboard.

Everything included, every plan

Live dashboard

Every resident’s status in real time, the one place your team looks.

Staff alerts by text and email

Only for real non-responses or urgent replies. No alert fatigue.

Call, text, Alexa or front desk

Each resident checks in the way that suits them, in 5 languages.

Complete history

A timestamped record of every check-in, ready to export.

Vacation pause

Schedule time away in advance. Check-ins resume on their own.

Optional passive check-in

Motion sensors confirm a resident is up, so no call is needed. No cameras or microphones.

Why we built it

“In 2012 we wanted to know our mom was okay every morning, without calling her at 7am and making her feel watched. So we built a simple daily check-in. It’s now done over 4 million of them.”

Paul and Colin Hammond, founders

Questions directors ask

Our residents aren’t comfortable with technology.

They don’t need to be. It’s an ordinary phone call or text, and it works on a landline.

We already have pendants.

Pendants work when someone presses them. OKHERE notices the resident who can’t or doesn’t. Many communities use both.

How long does setup take?

You can start a trial with up to 5 residents on the demo call. Adding everyone else is an import or an afternoon of typing.

Is this a medical alert system?

No. It’s a daily wellness check that tells your team who to look in on. It doesn’t replace 911 or emergency services.

What happens after the trial?

If it works for you, accept the terms in the app and roll it out to everyone. If not, it simply stops. No card is needed to try it.
